Ectoplasmic Funk by les Niobides
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f81nKwVek_0&feature=youtu.be
instruments:
Moog Voyager
Fender Telecaster thru Red Witch fuzz god with tremolo turned up on amp
drums.
It occurred to me I should have left a drum break in the middle so I will
probably add that at some point.
The Moog is very different from digital synths because it is completely analogue
so sometimes notes will have bloom or yield unexpected sounds. This can be
somewhat difficult to maintain consistency when trying to repeat riffs but I'm
learning to appreciate the quirkiness because it adds texture.

composition with a theremin and church organ.
unfortunately the mix is muddy, the result of recording at
too high levels.

Quote for the day
Well, we are all condamnés, as Victor Hugo says [in Le dernier jour d'un condamné]:... we have an interval, and then our place knows us no more. Some spend this interval in listlessness, some in high passions, the wisest in art and song. For our one chance is in expanding that interval, in getting as many pulsations as possible into the given time. High passions give one this quickened sense of life, ecstasy and sorrow of love, political or religious enthusiasm, or the "enthusiasm of humanity" [in Auguste Comte's Le système de politique positive]. Only, be sure it is passion, that it does yield you this fruit of a quickened, multiplied consciousness.
